After George Varga's article came out about his upcoming jazz brunch, vocalist Jeffery Smith asked me if I'd like to shoot it as his guest. He brought lots of guests up to the stage too. Click on a photo to go to the full gallery.



Heather and I didn't realize it until after we got there that it was a retirement community. But, the food was good and there were lots of folks who were excited about seeing some music and got dressed up for the occasion. The fantastic wraparound window light was a joy to shoot by.





This was my first chance to shoot the lovely Jamie Shadowlight. She's created several excellent gig posters from my jazz shots, one of which hangs in my office in a position of prominence.



I don't know the older violinist's name, but she was having a blast playing with everyone.



You might get too old to rock, but it's never too late to swing.
