Fire Eaters at Bar Pink, 12/1/10
Last week's soul revue at Bar Pink brought out many of San Diego's best ensembles. But it was a Wednesday and my back was killing me, so I only shot one band- the Fire Eaters.

The first time I heard Jesse Bowen play with Silverleaf, it didn't strike me as too special a band, but he's a really good bass player who can hold it down with Blackout Party as well.
Soul is alive and well in San Diego these days. I owe it to myself to see Styletones here for one of their last Monday night shows at Bar Pink. It sounds like a huge party.
