Travis Daudert invited me to shoot his graduate recital over the weekend. This wasn't a gig so much, it was more of a thesis defense. For Travis, this is a necessary step in obtaining his Master's Degree in Jazz Studies.



The first set was all standards, and then the second set had a few of his original compositions.



Travis shifted the players in and out for every tune, in order to best showcase his composing, soloing, and arranging chops.
