I didn't realize this sunset was happening, literally in my own back yard, until a friend hipped me to it on Facebook.



I had just enough time to capture this with the lens that was on the camera. By the time I switched to my wide angle, it didn't look as good. If I had been about five minutes sooner to notice it, it would have been a truly spectacular image.

I shot this from the top step of that waterslide that we're going to sell this spring. But maybe it has some use after all.
