Birdies in the Backyard

I stayed home form work today with the sniffles and after reaching the end of the internet, I decided to go out to the back patio and water some plants that desperately needed it. That's when I found a bird sitting in one of the planters in a corner. When it didn't fly away as I watered the plants, I knew that it must be sitting on something. It also reminded me that the last time I watered back here, a bird flew at me and startled me, so it must have been there for a while. It finally flew away to get some food, so I snapped some photos of the 'lil birdies that it's been caring for.

I used my telephoto so that I could stay as far away as possible, and stood on a stepstool to get a decent angle.

Right now, the mom is back, but perched on the fence, just checking things out. If I'm luckiy, I'll be able to snap some shots of feeding time through the window.
