I quit my band today. It was getting further away from the kind of music I'd like to be making, so it was time to make a change. We were finally at the point of being gig-ready again after almost a year, but I didn't want to schedule a bunch of gigs and then feel like I had to fulfill them, despite wanting out.

So, does anybody need a bass player? I've got pro gear, a car and a job. I've also got a wife and have no desire to live in a van for weeks at a time. I would consider myself technically proficient on bass but I don't read music very well. I'm looking for something other than just a regular rock band, instrumental preferably. I like to listen to jazz just as much as rock, and would like to be able to incorporate both into the music. Looking for drums, and guitar/horns. Established bands are ok, but I'd want to hear some samples first. If you'd like to hear my last project, you can find it here.

Hopefully we'd be able to get a set's worth of material in less than 2 months. I'd like to get back to playing on stages again instead of just looking at them.
