Desert anyone?
I've decided that I'm going to shoot the desert wildflowers this spring. I"m planning on going out to Anza Borrego or Joshua Tree, spending a couple days up there shooting from sunset, through the night, then sunrise, and then sleep from about 10am to 6 pm and do it again. Basically, I'll become nocturnal for a weekend. The thing is, I'm not into camping at all. We went out once a couple years ago, and it was a miserable experience, the wind blew our tent into our faces all night.
Anyone want to go with me? You'd have to drive, since my car is no good off-road, and although I can probably find a sleeping bag, I don't have any other camping supplies. Umm, you'll get some nice pictures in return?

Being nocturnal while camping is much, much harder than you'd think. Small tents get really hot in the sun. No matter how late I stay up the night before, I'm usually awake by like 6AM the next day.
Neat idea if you can manage it, though.

hey michael....nice site. I've been toying with the idea for quite sometime on getting a gallery of mine setup like this. But not even with the ability to do this on myspace, can I find the time to do it. But I will,...why? Because I would like to think of myself as a "serious photographer"...hehehe....Anyhow...I would really be interested in this desert trip myself. I almost did this trip last spring with my then-girlfriend. We were to go camping but the weather turned out to be more like a winter storm and we never made it there. I have an FJ-Cruiser and my camera. No camping experience but I know some some friends in the area (in a band) if not an old dusty motel or my timeshare nearby. Seriously, I am dead serious on this. Get back to me and we'll plan a trip out there. Hope to see you at show sometime. Been going back to casbah past few weeks and possibly the next. Might do a show in San Marcos next but I've got my eye for this Sunday at Ken for a burlesque gig. What can I say...when given the chance, I'm also a sucker for taking pix of half-dressed bombshells!
