Got up early during the rains we got on Thanksgiving morning.



Not 3 minutes after I got out of the car, it started pouring again and didn't let up for another 90 minutes. Which gave me plenty of time to explore the small covered area of the building at the top of the hill.





After rains, my patience was rewarded with a nice, big rainbow!

It's actually a double rainbow if you look closely.



The shots above and below are HDR shots, merged from three separate exposures each. I try to keep them looking natural. It's very easy to get a cartoonish look from HDR processing, when it's really best to just make it representative of how the eye perceives the scene.



And then on to the rest of the park. I can't believe I've never been here, and it's only 10 minutes away from home.
